When combined with Insight Meditation (Vipassana), it can help you learn more about how your mind works. With practice and training you can actually begin to reprogram your brain!

Meditation Retreats in Thailand
Several temples in Thailand offer meditation treats of 10-21 days. During these retreats you usually stay in a dormitory on the temple grounds and practice silent meditation for 16-18 hours per day. Once per day you can meet with the teacher who will give you personal instruction about your practice.
